Introduction
Printed cards, eCards, MMS and print your own cards all include a photograph and description of your gift. You can personalise these cards with your own message, either online if you choose eCards or MMS or by hand for printed and print your own cards.
You can only select one type of gift card for each of the gifts you'd like to purchase.
Printed cards
This is a printed greeting card that includes a photograph and description of your gift.
We will send you a printed card for every item that you purchase. For example, if you order three goats and select 'Printed' card, you will receive three individual goat cards.
All the cards you order will be sent to you by post. We will post your card/s to you within 3 business days of receiving your order.
eCards
An eCard is an electronic card which includes a photograph and description of your gift. When you select a gift and choose the eCard option, you will be asked to provide your name and email address and the email address and name(s) of the person to receive the eCard. There will also be an opportunity to add your personal message to the eCard.
A link to the eCard you have created will be sent to the delivery email address on the date you choose. This link will give the recipient access to view their eCard.
Each eCard can only be sent to one email address. If your eCard can’t be delivered for any reason, we will attempt to notify you via the email address you provided when you completed the eCard.
MMS
An MMS, or Multimedia Messaging Service, is a way to send a World Vision gift card to your family member, friend or loved one via a multimedia message to their mobile phone. The message will include a photograph and gift description.
Similar to an eCard, when you select a gift and choose the MMS option, you will be asked to provide your name and email address and the mobile phone number of the person to receive the MMS. There will also be an opportunity to add your personal message to the MMS.
Print your own cards
A print your own card can be downloaded and printed on your home printer. You can then add your own personal message.
When you choose the print your own card option, you will be asked to provide your email address so that we can send you confirmation of purchase and a PDF containing your card.
When your transaction has been successfully completed, you will be taken to an online confirmation screen that also includes a link to the PDF containing your card and printing instructions. If, however, your transaction is delayed for any reason, the card will not be immediately available.
No card
If you don’t want to send a card for your gift item, simply select the ‘no card’ option when adding a gift to the gift basket.
