Gift Registry

Creating a Gift Registry

Step 1: Create your Gift Registry account
Step 2: Describe your occasion
Step 3: Select gifts
Step 4: Advise guests of your reference number

Step 1: Create your Gift Registry account

Create a gift registry account by providing your name, postal address and email address details and creating a password.

Should you wish to create more than one gift registry at any one time, you will require a different email address for each gift registry.

Step 2: Describe your occasion

List the occasion you're organising and the date. Please be aware that your gift registry will automatically close 21 days after the date of your event. (See Managing your gift registry: Changing a gift registry status for more information).

You can also:

  • Leave a personalised message for your guests.
  • Let us know whether or not you'd like guests to be able to leave messages for you in your Gift Registry.
  • Tell us how many, if any, Guest Cards you'd like us to send you - please allow at least eight (8) business days for delivery.

Once you've done this we'll let you know your Gift Registry reference number that your guests will need to order gifts, in your name, from your Gift Registry.

If your Gift Registry will be open at the end of September, please be aware that all gifts change over to the new Gift Catalogue on 1 October. This means we move to all new gifts on that date, and are unable to sell any of the previous gifts.

What this means for Gift Registries open on 1 October
  • The gifts already purchased for you by your guests will of course be delivered as promised.
  • The gifts selected by you from the previous Gift Catalogue to be a part of your registry will no longer be available for purchase by your guests.
  • You will still be able to view the details of the gifts from the previous range that have already been purchased for you.
  • We will automatically place all of the new gifts into your Gift Registry.
  • If you wish to refine the list in your registry, you will need to come back to the website after 1 October.

Step 3: Select gifts

Tell us which gifts you'd like or, if you'd prefer, you can make no alterations to the list we provide and guests will be able to choose from all the gifts in the World Vision Gifts catalogue. When your guests log in, they'll be able to see the gifts you've nominated.

Please keep in mind that guests won't be able to purchase any gifts for your occasion if you've de-selected them from the list of available gifts.

Remember that the same gift can be chosen more than once by more than one guest.

Step 4: Advise guests of your reference number

Let people know about your Gift Registry and give them the reference number they'll need to be able to give gifts in your name. It’s a good idea to also let them know that the Gift Registry will close twenty-one (21) days after the date of the event.

Your reference number will be four (4) letters followed by three (3) numbers eg. WXYA456

We suggest you log in to your gift registry as a guest to check that you've written this number down correctly before you tell your guests about it. Please phone our Supporter Services Team on 1300 303 440 if you have any problems logging in. If you have chosen to have gift registry guest cards sent to you, you can write the number on these cards and then send them to your guests.

If your guests forget your reference number, for reasons of privacy we are not able to provide it to them. They must contact you for this.
