Easter chocolate should be a fun treat for the kids. But for those who have to produce it, it can be harmful. Tell major Australian retailers that you don’t want forced, child or trafficked labour in your Easter eggs by signing our petition today.
Where does your chocolate come from?
Much of the world’s cocoa is harvested in West Africa, in places like Ghana and the Ivory Coast, which have been found guilty of using some of the worst forms of child labour.
Children are forced to work long hours, in dangerous conditions, for little or no pay and without any possibility of attending school.
In fact, around 95 percent of the chocolate sold today is not certified to be free from the use of forced, child or trafficked labour.
